Brownie with chickpeas and sweet hummus

Ingredients:

Brownie with chickpeas and sweet hummus

  • 50 g of vegetable margarine
  • 100 g of dark chocolate
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 50 g of panela or whole sugar
  • 50 g of rice flour
  • 30 g of almond flour
  • 6 g cornstarch
  • 10 g of flax seeds
  • 120 g of soy milk
  • 1 splash of vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 100 g of cooked chickpeas.

Sweet hummus ingredients:

  • 80 g of cooked chickpeas
  • 8 g of cocoa powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of cinnamon
  • 15 ml EVOO
  • 20 ml of water or vegetable milk
  • * add some dates or agave syrup to sweeten
  1. Melt the chocolate and margarine with the salt in a bain-marie or in the microwave.
  2. Meanwhile, blend the soy milk, with a splash of vinegar, flaxseeds and bicarbonate with the help of a blender or mixer. Then add this mixture to the melted chocolate and stir well until nicely blended.
  3. Then add the flour and sugar and finally the cooked chickpeas.
  4. Line a mold with greaseproof paper and cook at 180ºC for about 20 / 25min.
  5. On the other hand, process all the ingredients of the sweet hummus until it has a silky texture and the sweetness is to our liking.
  6. Once the brownie has cooled, finish with a layer of sweet hummus, a little cocoa powder and if you like, some strawberries or other fresh fruit to decorate.
  7. You can also heat the brownie for about 10 seconds in the microwave and serve with a scoop of ice cream.
