Chickpeas with cod

Ingredients:

Chickpeas with cod

  • 400 g cooked chickpeas
  • 400 g salt cod
  • 50 ml olive oil
  • 100 g diced green pepper
  • 100 g diced red pepper
  • 100 g diced onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • 250 ml water

For the batter

  • chickpea flour
  • 150 ml olive oil
  1. Heat the 50 ml. of olive oil in a saucepan. Add the vegetables and sauté over low heat until the onion is transparent.
  2. Add the garlic and the paprika and mix in with the vegetables.
  3. Add the water and chickpeas.
  4. When it starts to boil, add the cod.
  5. Boil over low heat for at least 30 minutes. Add salt if necessary.
  6. Serve hot.

  1. Coat the cod in flour and fry lightly. Drain and reserve, before adding to the pan.
